Yes, an Enhanced DBS is a legal requirement to work with children in schools or nurseries. GB Recruitment will be able to process a new certificate with you as part of your registration process and will require you to place this on the update service.
Placing your certificate on the DBS Update Service, although costing you an annual fee of £13, will save you both time and money. You only have to pay for one DBS Disclosure – and you won’t have to wait for it to be renewed each year. Additionally, the Update Service might just give you a crucial edge when applying for new roles, as you will already have an up-to-date DBS Disclosure.
If you currently hold a DBS and it is registered with the update service, during your registration we will require you to bring in the original certificate in order for us to check it is clear or discuss any disclosures with you further.
